Garden City sits at the intersection of US Super Highway 34 and 85. Heading straight west will take you to Loveland and Fort Collins, whereas going in the southwest direction will bring you to the State Capital under an hour-long drive.

The University of Northern Colorado lies to the northwest of Garden City at walking distance. This explains why this area is commonly referred to as a college town. Many of its inhabitants are university students, and as such, live on rent.

In order to meet the criteria, Mrs. Ray sold several cabins and lots in her camp for as low as $100.
